An evolution of the 2012 Bentley EXP 9 F concept car, the Bentayga debuted at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September 2015 as not only Bentley's first SUV, but also the first diesel-engined Bentley in the nearly 100 years' of the company's history. The Bentayga is Bentley's sector-defining 4th model line- essentially making it the most powerful, luxurious and exclusive SUV in the world. Bentley decided on naming it's first SUV 'Bentayga' in January 2015, taking inspiration after the rugged peak of the Roque Bentayga in Gran Canaria- one of the Canary Islands. Second, it applied the name 'Taiga,' which is the world's largest transcontinental snow forest, composing the SUV's name of a blend of 'Bentley' and 'Taiga.'
Designed, engineered and handcrafted in Crewe, the Bentayga’s styling is Bentley at it's finest. It is designed to perfectly balance both athleticism and confidence. "From the four round LED headlamps and large matrix grille, to the distinctive power line and muscular haunches, the Bentley DNA is apparent throughout."
