Additional Information

The accompanying Certificate of Authenticity shows our Porsche 356B T6 Coupe to be UK-supplied by AFN of Chiswick in May of 1963 and wore then (as it wears now) beautiful Slate Grey paintwork with Red Leatherette interior. It retains its matching numbers though now fully-rebuilt 1600cc engine, which, apart from the four-cam Carrera, is the most powerful stage of tune with 90bhp – unique for the Super 90.

Our car spent the greater part of its life in the Surrey/Hampshire area, and circa 1988 was bought by a local gentleman via Nick Faure. Bought to be driven competitively, the car was stripped, repainted and prepared extensively through Camtune and other Specialists to ultimately be awarded FIA papers in 1989. Our car then campaigned in privateer hands competing in several road-rallies, including the Monte Carlo Historique on three occasions (best finish 20th overall/2nd in class in 1990), Rally of the Tests and Le Jog, piloted by Mr Mark Beckley & Nigel Bruce. It still has its FIVA identity card, dated 1994.

By 2009, and now looking a little tired, this Porsche 356 was bought by a Sheffield based businessman and a more thorough restoration was undertaken in the subsequent years. With a host of parts supplied by either Roger Bray Restorations, or Stoddard Imported Cars of USA, it is enormously evident that the thorough ground-up restoration undertaken through to completion in 2013 remains to a very high standard today. All inspections are welcomed at our secure premises near York. Ramp facilities to see the impressive underside of this car are also available.

Our super rare Super 90 is offered with its original buff logbooks, expired FIA & FIVA papers, Porsche Certificate of Authenticity confirming matching numbers, plus a host of bills, receipts, and photographs of its rallying past, and concours-worthy restoration.
