Additional Information
Italian delivered in November of 1985, our delightful Porsche Carrera is a real survivor. It’s exceptionally rare to find an unmolested, original car with matching numbers engine in a condition that means you’ll not be afraid to use it, but you’ll definitely be proud to own it.
This is a car we really believe in and can get behind. To us, this is how a 911 should be. It is accompanied by its Porsche book pack with original manuals and service book. It was discovered by a Porsche Specialist in Italy in 2016 and repatriated to the UK. Shortly afterwards it was sold to its only UK keeper who recognised what a special car this is. Despite wanting to own it, he’s agreed that his limited opportunities to use it means he has now been persuaded to sell.
What’s so special? Well, for a start, the car is arrow straight. It sits just right on the road. It features original Grand Prix White paint, Fuchs wheels, quality tyres, and has a simplicity and purity to the tasteful cloth trim, carpet and cabin which requires no fettling whatsoever, and at the risk of being an anorak, the weld seams and wheel arches still carry the original factory-applied wax which is so pleasing because it means it’s never been mistreated or neglected. It’s hard to describe why that’s so important to celebrate.
The bad points? Well, there really aren’t many. If you were being hyper-critical then there’s a small cluster of stone chips on the bonnet, a little nick on the edge of each door where it caught a wall on opening, but these really are minor imperfections. What’s more, they’ve not been flashed over or masked which leads once again to the wholesomeness of this car.
Recently Major Serviced, this Porsche is now absolutely ready for its new owner and we’re very excited to meet who that will be since we expect they’ll appreciate cars like this just as much as we do!…
