The XK150 was the final incarnation of the XK range, appearing in May 1957, and was a more refined and capable machine than its predecessors. “The Jaguar XK150 is undeniably one of the world’s fastest and safest cars. It is quiet and exceptionally refined mechanically, docile and comfortable… we do not know of any more outstanding example of value for money,” resolved The Autocar. …. High praise indeed, and who are we to disagree….?

This is a car that we have previously supplied, and we’re delighted to have it back for sale once more. It was first rebuilt by Classic Cars International in 1989, and then further subjected to extensive work by recognised Jaguar XK specialists Twyford Moors Motor Company around 2011. These works included the fitting of a replacement Jaguar XK140 engine bored nearer to 3.5 litres and essentially prepared to a fast road specification but in a sympathetic and tasteful manner that hasn’t altered the outward appearance of the car.

To harness the power, this car has a five-speed gearbox helping to maximise driving pleasure, plus electronic ignition, a Kenlowe fan for cooling and power steering. A discreet modern radio is housed behind the period speaker grill.

It is offered in a classic colour combination of Green with Olive Green Connolly hide and shod with the very sensible option of Vredestein Sprint Classic tyres mounted on chrome wire wheels. It currently houses Jaguar XJ Series-type reclining seats because the most recent owner is a particularly tall gentleman, but the original seats have been retained & can be easily refitted if required.

The vehicle is accompanied by a Jaguar Heritage Certificate confirming the car to be a home market delivered, right hand drive example from new, and is further sold with a host of past invoices and correspondence, various MOTs confirming the mileage of some 90,000miles, and is now MOT exempt.
