Additional Information
Constructed in 2017 by respected rally exponents, Dansport Ltd, our Porsche 964 was the only one of its kind to hold a full MSA Historical Technical Passport and FIA papers. Eligible for many of the calendar’s most exotic rallies, this is a fiercely potent competition car in the right hands….
This car has been built to an incredibly high standard and been subjected to only four outings in 2017 and the last in 2018. The construction of this car was to maximise the performance and ability on tight and intricate rallies, but not at the expense of safety, such is the demand on these motorcars in competition. This included a bespoke-designed and fully load-assessed roll cage with roll over protection certificate, and a high-grade FIA homologated fuel cell. The lightweight production of this car is married to great effect by the tremendously competitive Tech 9 dry-sump aluminium-block engine which utilises a period-correct 5-speed G50 gearbox to release its maximum potential.
This is a serious rally entrant which is widely eligible and it boasts significant credentials to continue to feature strongly in the European Historic Rally Championship and other UK and Ireland rally events.
With a likely cost to recreate today edging beyond some £300,000 GBP, this Porsche demonstrates a significant saving.
