[A] History File – **Mint Condition**
This is a 2008 Jaguar XKR 4.2 Coupe, finished in Grey with a Beige interior. The car is in original conditions and no modifications done to the exterior, interior, or drivetrain of this car, and no accidents history. This is the last of the XKRs designed by Ian Callum and closely resembles the Aston Martins by the same designer.
I bought this car from a close acquaintance/client who was leaving Hong Kong and had the car well maintained – it also served as the first private car they owned in Hong Kong. I had a HKMI pre-purchase inspection conducted on this car prior to taking ownership and can provide it on request.
[B] Service History :
All maintenance work performed by specialist garages Auto Dynamics Ltd. in Ap Lei Chau and B&M Motor Service in Kennedy Town.
• AC Compressor – Replaced new 07/2024
• Screen/Infotainment issue rectified – Replaced New 10/2020
• Recent maintenance - 07/2024 Routine oil change, air filter replacement, and transmission fluid service.
• This car has had two previous owners and has a reported mileage of 60,xxx km.
[C] Exterior :
The grey bodywork is in good condition with no severe discoloration on the panels. The front bumper and side portions are also in good condition. The front grille and Jaguar logo are in good condition. Both side doors, the front bonnet, and rear trunk lid open and close normally. The headlights, rear tail lights, and side markers illuminate normally. Some kerb rash was observed on the Jaguar alloy wheels, but all four wheels show no major surface damage.
[D] Interior and Trim:
Both front and rear leather seats are in good condition with only small amounts of wear & tear visible from use overtime. The side door panels and lower scuff plates are in good condition. The leather steering wheel and its controls are all intact. The gear shifter as well as its signature ‘J’ shift gate and electronic parking brake switch are free of any wear. All of the interior buttons are solid and none display serious surface wear. The touchscreen infotainment system and all of its functions work normally. The instrument cluster is free of any warning messages or warning lights – the LCD cluster screen is free of any missing pixels.
[E] Engine and Running Gear:
Press the keyless-ignition start button and the 4.2L supercharged AJV8 engine springs into life with a subtle but clear V8 exhaust note. Power delivery, as expected of a long-distance grand tourer of this type is linear but quick to get up to speed, without any delays when the accelerator is planted. The 6-Speed Automatic Transmission upshifts and downshifts without any issues. The steering remains weighted and competent through any degree of cornering. The brakes are responsive to bring this Jaguar sports coupe to a halt promptly. This XKR Coupe is an appreciating modern classic GT car that provides an exciting and comfortable ride, representing Jaguar at its peak era.
