Additional Information
Up for sale is a 2008 s2000 with 34k km. It is a “08/16” and I’m the first and only owner in Hong Kong. The car was imported last year and a few additional upgrades have been made in the last 9 months. It has an upgraded paint color “Platium White” (peral white) and also sat navi from factory. As it is a Japanese import, the sat nav is not functional and the car has been fitted with an Apline headunit in order to receive local radio channels (NOTE: no wires were cut in the process, all connections done with custom wiring hardness ordered from the US).
The focus of the s2000 platform is handling and the final version “type S” includes chassis and suspension tuning by Honda aimed at improving performance on the touge (in HK terms, consider TMS, Shek O, etc). It is very difficult to improve on the near perfect platform but the goal of this project is to built a ‘factory plus’ version where constraints like budget or corporate objectives are removed. The result is a completely street legal car (generally means it does not require any parts to be removed for MOT) that outperforms the original type S but remains comfortable for both the driver and passenger. Given it is also a 10 year old car, albeit with low mileage, certain wear and tear items have been upgraded/strengthened. I won’t list the details but all oil hand fluids have been flushed with Honda/Motul/Endless fluids (with receipt).
