McLaren P1 SMASHES Goodwood Festival of Speed

The McLaren P1 LM supercar worth £3M has just smashed the Goodwood Festival of Speed’s hillclimb record for street legal cars. Kenny Brack, drove the course in 47.07 seconds in the modified LM GTR car converted for road use.

Goodwood has run road cars up the hill since 2000, but timed runs only started in 2014, the existing record was set by a Nissan GT-R Nismo at 49.27 seconds.

Brack’s run was not the quickest time of the day, that belonged to Olly Clark and his “Gobstopper II” – a heavily modified Subaru STI which ran the course in 46.29 seconds.
