Photography Winner Interview – Inji Chan
A few weeks ago we ran a feature on Kenneth Ng, a winner from the #10besthkcartrader photo contest showcasing Hong Kong’s talented photographers. Another one of our winners from the contest also happens to be an aspiring young car photographer, Inji Chan. We asked Inji to share a bit of information about himself and some of his favourite photos. Here is what he had to say!
My name is Inji Chan. I am a visual merchandiser. Graphic design and photography is my strength. It is no doubt that I am a super car lover since I was a child. Honestly, my father influences me a lot. He was the owner of garage when I was small. I was growing up with lots of car around.
Capturing the best moment is always my aims to be a professional photographer. I love photographing and cars. I started to be a freelance car photographer since six months before. I love car shooting because I think every cars should have different characteristic. By using different shooting angles and photo effects to present the best part of the car. R8 is the best car I have ever shoot. You know….shooting for a super car is valuable and not everyone got this chance LOL
My photographing style is to mix and match into some funky and vintage elements in order to make it more interest. It is different from the classic photo style. I believe that every picture should have its own story. I like to go around the different place and find the best location to match my photographing story. It is always inspiring me a lot. You can see my photo below. This is located at Bus Depot, Hong Kong. The area is now no longer for use. Choosing this area because it can represent the vintage environment, and most importantly, here’s full of memories for all Hong Kong people.
